Toronto, Ontario (March 14, 2017)

LocoMobi, Inc., the leading technology company specializing in cloud-based parking, transit and tolling solutions, is pleased to announce the introduction  of ParkingPaid and RideRefund mobile Apps that connect customers “ready to buy” with local merchants.

Using these new apps, merchants can offer new or prospective customers that are not within walking distance, to travel to their business by mass transit, shared ride or private car and the merchant will pay for all or a portion of the cost of travel.  The merchant specifies the minimum purchase requirement, product or service special or the hours when the ParkingPaid or RideRefund is applied.

To the user, it’s as easy as visiting the merchant, buying the product or service, opening the app and the merchant, through the app, will refund the promised portion of their cost of transit or parking which will be added to the user’s account or directly to their transit card.

“It is estimated that there are over 50 billion annual trips on mass transit, shared ride or private vehicles today in North America” said President and CEO Grant Furlane, who added, “because ParkingPaid and RideRefund is a real-time connection between people who are ready to purchase now and merchants immediate value will be created for participating merchants”.

The application’s “merchant interface” allows businesses to easily and continually design and change their offerings based on supply and demand. Because the interaction is through the app there is no need for coupons.

“The growth in online commerce and city populations and the use of all forms of transportation to move about a city will continue to accelerate” adds Grant.  “Additionally, business travelers and tourists are visiting cities in increasing numbers so the opportunity for a local merchant to extend their reach by connecting directly to tourists such as the over 50 million visitors to Chicago each year is immense.”

These applications further LocoMobi Smart City offering to manage all facets of urban mobility and transportation. Please take a moment to view our demo videos below or download them from your preferred app store.

LocoMobi Launches its Dynamic Intelligent Lane Controller (patent pending)

Toronto, Ontario November 11, 2016 – LocoMobi is pleased to announce the release of its Dynamic Intelligent  Controller (D-ILC) – an industry agnostic versatile device that lends live data and minute by minute control, ensuring total security and revenue control.

The D-ILC is a proactive holistic solution to an otherwise reactive and fragmented operative structure in a spectrum of industries. For example take a parking garage setting: the operators typically manage numerous different hardware devices and connections for various purposes – Proxy card RFID readers; lane counters, license plate recognition cameras, revenue control systems, ticket readers, etc. Each device needing its own controller, as well as  individual connectivity to the internet, wifi, or cellular. Such structure can result in a tangled, expensive, and difficult to manage system. The complexity further worsens as customers add new sensors such as CO, lights, humidity, and temperature.

Our D-ILC is a single, compact device. It connects to a range of devices and sensors, controls their configuration, settings and health, and enables all these to connect to various communication channels and interface to a broad set of applications  It also plugs into any legacy devices, enabling them to connect easily to the cloud for the first time, bringing the internet of things vision to any parking installation and giving operators the power to be one step ahead.

This controller packs a powerful punch with Quad Core processor and over 1TB of expandable storage. The power is there to multi-process all your needs in a lane or multiple lanes for parking and transportation. Imagine controlling RFID, card readers, counts, signs – in one or all modes of communication you choose including, Wi-Fi, GPRS, or RJ-45 ethernet. Use one communication option or all can be combined for backup redundancy. And while you are controlling the users and counts add the ability to use our sensor inputs for such things as carbon monoxide, lights, humidity, temperature and other important sensing needs. Qualified to handle up to 96 card readers and 127 different devices, the D-ILC also has local and global anti-passback features via the cloud.

“In the age of real time cloud convergence businesses do not want but NEED live data that keeps their hand on the pulse and facilitates optimal security and revenue management. Real-time information means critical and accurate real-time decisions”, says Grant Furlane, CEO of LocoMobi. “Many parking and transportation operations require the ability to utilize dynamic pricing through yield management. Using stagnated data from shared databases is an acceptable approach but this solution takes it a step further into real-time.”

The controller enables any facility to take their system “LIVE” to the cloud. Easily integrated into new or existing sensors, the D-ILC is setup to work with a comprehensive set of applications, making this the most versatile controller of its kind, yielding impeccable control in a single device that fits in the palm of your hand.
